Working with partner agencies

Partnership Working is an important cornerstone of our approach at Harbour Place.

The people that we support often have complex needs and they often need a co-ordinated approach from specialists in multiple fields in order to achieve genuine positive change in their lives.

Our service users often feel that they have been passed from pillar to post in the past and sometimes they feel that people have let them down or abandoned them. Whilst this is sometimes not really the case, that perception can be a barrier and a partnership approach can help break that barrier down.

Our team works hard to build a tailored support package by co-ordinating with other specialist agencies such as:

  • North East Lincolnshire Council
  • Mental Health Specialists
  • Addiction Support Workers
  • Medical professionals
  • Supported Housing Agencies

This approach is reflected at our Prevention Hub, where workers from www.turning-point.co.ukΒ  and www.navigocare.co.uk are available at the Hope Centre so that they can build relationships with service users and can be approached when the individual feels ready to engage and discuss the issues that they are facing.

We are also an important voice at weekly Local Authority led meetings, where individual cases can be discussed in confidence with partner agencies to ensure a co-ordinated approach.
